The C&A team is comprised of talented, seasoned professionals that offer professional associations access to a broad range of services, including administrative, communications, executive, financial, operational and management competencies. As a team-oriented organization with a highly cooperative staff, every staff member contributes to the activity and actions critical to assuring the success of the organizations with whom we partner. With a combined total of over 150 years of association management experience, your organization will feel comfortable knowing its in good hands. 

Crista LeGrand, CAE, CMP
President

Crista LeGrand currently is the principal owner and Chief Executive Officer of Clemons & Associates, Inc. Founded in 1977, C&A is a Baltimore-based Association Management Company that has demonstrated success in customer satisfaction year after year. Crista has been in the association management industry for over 20 years. She has served on many Boards of Directors. She has also served as the executive vice president and executive director of three associations. Crista is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). She has personally managed hundreds of events throughout her career including site selection, meeting management, registration/housing, sponsorship, education strategy and planning, new product/program development, content management and delivery, and program evaluation. 

Crista leads a team of association management professionals who handle all aspects of non-profit management including event services and meeting management, financial management, board leadership, strategic planning, membership development, and communications/marketing. She also provides business consulting and has served on several boards for business and volunteer organizations. Crista is a member of ASAE & The Center, Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), and the University of Maryland Terrapin Club. She is an avid Maryland Terrapins fan and also a sports car enthusiast.  

Amanda Bolinsky, CMP, MBA
Executive Vice President

As the Executive Vice President of Clemons and Associates, Inc., Amanda is responsible for business operations, staff development, and executing the company’s strategic plan. She has served as the Executive Director of three professional societies and one trade association, bestowing her with a strong background in meeting and event planning, program development, financial budgeting, succession planning, and leadership development. She is well-versed in developing committee charters, executing board orientations, and revamping association governing documents. She has demonstrated a very strong track record, increasing membership numbers by 10-28% and assets by up to 25% for the organizations she has worked with.

Amanda achieved a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Loyola University. She also studied abroad in Australia and Chile. Being an avid traveler, she has traveled to some of the most exotic destinations, including the Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu, New Zealand, Iceland, Alaska, Hawaii, and Costa Rica to name a few. On days off, you can find her at the beach or the lake with her husband and two kids, Emmett and Brooke. She also enjoys strength training and a relaxing spa day. 

Wilson Bounds, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Wilson brings over 30 years of experience in providing financial guidance for tax-exempt organizations and fully understands the financial standards and process in association management.  As an independent contractor for C&A, his firm has a relationship with C&A since 2001 and has experience in managing all aspects of operating a business. 

Wilson holds his undergraduate degree from High Point University of North Carolina and his Master’s degree in Tax from the University of Baltimore.  In his free time, you can catch Wilson enjoying time at Smith Mountain Lake, watching Maryland Terps basketball, or hiking national parks. 

Tammy Hobson
Office Administrator

Tammy brings over 31 years of experience from a government agency in information technology and strategic management. Most recently, Tammy received her certificate of completion for Advanced Google Analytics and Google Analytics for Power Users from the Google Analytics Academy. 

Tammy has a passion for cooking and holds a Culinary Arts diploma. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking small day trips. Her favorite vacation spot is Surfside Beach, SC.

Alice Pomplon
Account Executive

Alice is the Operations Manager at Clemons & Associates, Inc.  Alice joined C&A back in 2014 and is celebrating her seventh year with the company. Her strong planning, organizational skills and capability to execute have resulted in growth for the associations she serves. Known for her energy, enthusiasm and contagious laugh, Alice has helped expand the services provided to all C&A clients.

Alice holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina and she’s a Baltimore native. She coordinates all our team outings and volunteer services. Alice has always had a passion for teaching and helping others.

Lindsey Strange
Account Executive

Lindsey has a background in nonprofits and grassroots campaigns. She brings years of public relations and event planning experience to C&A. A professional development enthusiast, she is always looking for opportunities to learn and grow. 

Lindsey is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was a member of the National Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, visiting family, going to the gym and trying out new restaurants. 

Kim Shaw
Account Executive

Kim brings a strong marketing background and years of experience to the C&A team. As an Account Executive, she’s worked with regional, national and international associations coordinating day-to-day operations while managing long-term strategic plans. Her biggest strength lies in creative development, management, and assessment of marketing campaigns to boost membership and global awareness of an association. As someone who likes to “think outside the box,” she also has a knack for creating and enforcing solutions to complex organizational challenges. Kim has a competitive spirit and takes great pride in the associations she partners with. Through developing relationships, problem-solving, and using her communication abilities, she consistently propels productivity.

True to her competitive spirit, she is an avid sports fan and loves all things Ravens, Orioles and Terps basketball. She enjoys traveling and had the opportunity to live in Italy for six months while attending the American University of Rome. In her free time, you’ll find her horseback riding, boating on the Chesapeake Bay or just relaxing at home with her husband and two boys.

Becca Stinner, CAE, MBA
Senior Account Executive

Becca is an experienced Account Executive at Clemons & Associates, Inc. She has the innovative spirit, drive, and enthusiasm to continue the success of your organization. Her experience includes working with national, regional, and state associations for over five years. Becca’s experience includes strategic planning; managing communication strategies via social media, website, and e-blasts; serving as a liaison between board members, committees, and members, as well as state and national associations. She is also experienced in planning, organizing and executing board meetings, fundraising events, and national conferences; providing a strong and credible voice for the association and industry with key stakeholders; and association brand management.

Becca holds a certificate in association management, she also has her Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Science in Marketing; minor in psychology from Salisbury University. She is an avid long-distance runner of more than 15 years, who completed her first marathon in November 2018, along with many half marathons along the way. When she’s not running, you can find her snuggling with her adorable cat, Hermes.

Josh Strother
Controller

Josh brings over 5 years of experience in accounting, finance and tax preparation and specifically overseeing daily financial operations of C&A since 2020. 

Josh has a Bachelor of Science in business administration degree from Stevenson University with added focus on accounting courses from Carroll Community College. In his free time, you can find Josh on the golf course or watching football. 

Layla

C&A Hero

Layla served as the mascot, morale booster and security guard. She was a rescue dog from South Korea and was part Jindo, Shiba Inu, Chow Chow, and Spitz. You could always find her either sleeping or entertaining for treats.  #cutenessoverload
