Natalie Villabon-Martz

 

Natalie Villabon-Martz, a natural entrepreneur, was introduced to the business world at a young age.  A Tae Kwon Do black belt by the age of nine, Natalie opened her first Tae Kwon Do school while in college at nineteen years old.  Later, she opened and operated an Educational Franchise in Atlanta, Georgia. Natalie has been a part of the Clemons & Associates, Inc. team since 2006 serving in various roles and advising membership recruitment and retention for several clients. Natalie has the wisdom and hands-on experience of a seasoned business executive and her role at Clemons & Associates is a vital part of our organization.

Natalie's Key Accomplishments:

  • Serves as Executive Director of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
  • Serves as Executive Director of the International Caterers Association. 
  • Served as the Associate Director for the Mid-Atlantic Hearth, Patio and Barbeque Association (MAHPBA).
  • Served as the Associate Director for the International Society of Restaurant Association Executives (ISRAE), now the Council of State Restaurant Associations (CSRA).
  • Candidate of the Institute for Organizational Management (IOM designation).
  • Past member of the International Tae Kwon Do Association, World Tae Kwon Do Association, and Martial Arts Industry Association.
  • Has promoted and tested thousands of students through the ranks in Tae Kwon Do.Serves as Head Examiner and Master and returns yearly to examine students for their black belts and advanced ranks. 
  • Champion of Courage Nominee.
  • Recognized numerous times for her involvement with the government funded “No Child Left Behind” program which serves low-income and culturally diverse students in education.
  • Twice received the Education Center of the Year award through C2 Educational Systems. 
  • A volunteer of the Latin American Association, Natalie is involved with activities and fundraisers that directly help Hispanic families in need. 
  • She also is actively involved in community outreach meetings that help incorporate local businesses into the community through networking, awareness, and marketing.
  • Current member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Maryland Society of Association Executives (MSAE).

Natalie incorporates the five tenets of Tae Kwon Do into her daily life and business enterprises (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit).

  1. Natalie is…a fifth degree black belt.
  2. She enjoys...watching foreign films & documentaries.
  3. If she could change lives with one person for a day, it would be… Mother Teresa.
  4. If stranded on a desert island, Natalie would bring her husband, her dog and the book, One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (She has been working on it for a few years and figured she should be able to get through it if stranded!)
  5. If Natalie could have dinner with one person in history, it would be… Bruce Lee.
  6. If she could eat anything (and not gain weight,) she would eat empanadas y pandebono everyday!
