Chris Defeo

In his Legislative Aide capacity, Chris worked to grow a district-wide database with constituent information to improve and enhance communications from Annapolis with constituents. Planning meetings with business leaders and constituents remain a top priority to maintain the connection to the people of the District as well as nurturing legislative ideas.

DeFeo’s role of meeting and trade show coordinator is highlighted by exhibit sales for a major association’s annual management conference. His responsibilities include meeting planning and on-site management, membership, awards, inquiries, elections, and exhibit sales. As a staff member who has always been involved with the front-line professionals , Chris will be able to directly address and respond to the needs and inquiries of the membership. Chris offers both a professional and personable posture, a strong experiential skill base that will assist in an easy transition to a new management organization.

Chris is actively involved in the community.  He is a member of the Perry Hall Improvement Association Board of Directors and has worked on community projects such as Adopt a Road clean ups, “Greening of Perry Hall” tree plantings, working on future bike paths and sidewalks. Chris devoted efforts to the White Marsh Police Community Outreach, an organization that informs the community of recent crimes and police related matters that happen in the surrounding neighborhoods. As a volunteer handling membership, Chris took the opportunity to assist the police and those who take the time to inform the community.

Chris also participates in other community activities.  He played music for children at the new Perry Hall Library, and became an active member of the Charles Hickey School Juvenile Detention Advisory Board. He still provides free music lessons and collects goods for the rehabilitated juveniles at the Hickey School . Chris also spends much of his time in the spring assisting with the collection of donations and marketing to local businesses and the community for the annual Perry Hall Fair.
